Wild Oats is the first food retailer in the United States to replace its traditional plastic deli containers at some locations with a corn-based version (that's right: corn) made from an annually renewable resource (again: corn). The corn-based packaging can be returned to the store for composting.

This is a a really nice health food store on the Kansas side of KC. There is a great selection of all natural and organic foods. I was looking for a certain kind of tea and could not find it anywhere and no one seemed to even know what it was. I went in here and asked one of the workers and took me right to it. He also told me that they can special order items you want if they do not carry them in the store. This store is stocked full of heathy items and the workers are friendly and knowledgeable.

I was very pleased with the overall shopping experience there. they have a good variety of natural and organic food, which is expectedly pricier than regular foods. What I really liked is that this is one of the few places where you can find alternative medicine and herbal teas. their staff is very helpful as well. good place to shop.

This market is not the real deal. It is okay if you want something quick and there but if you want real selection go to Whole Foods on Metcalf. I prefer the bigger selection. This is just too small and prices are higher.
